Chuckie Finster

Cuckie Finster from Rugrats. This one falls short of my Norbert Beaver drawing ([link]), but I couldn't think of anything but abstract shapes to put in the background.

I think part of the problem is there's too much color. With the Norbert picture, since he's almost entirely yellow, I just used shades of green for the background, then tinted the whole picture orange. But Chuckie has more colors. His red hair clashes with his blue shirt, etc., so I didn't know what to do. I tried to put a slightly orange tint on it to make the colors less abrasive, but it doesn't seem to work very well. I might go back and change it later.

Also, I still don't know how to draw Rugrats-style hands.
